How does the globe stay suspended?
It uses electromagnetic levitation technology—magnets and sensors in the base create a magnetic field that balances and holds the globe in mid-air. This is a well-established and safe technology, used in many other display products.
Does the globe spin on its own?
Not automatically. Just give it a gentle tap to start the rotation—it will continue spinning indefinitely thanks to low friction and magnetic suspension.
Will it work right out of the box?
Yes! Just plug in the base, follow a quick Levitation Guide to levitate the globe, and enjoy. It comes fully assembled and ready to use.
Does Float Globe require power to operate?
Yes, for the globe to levitate above the base, the power adapter must be plugged into a standard wall outlet. If power drops out, the globe will harmlessly drop to the base and remain there until addressed.
How do I place the globe in its levitating position?
Position the base at waist level or higher, with the Float Globe logo facing you. Cradle the globe with 2–3 fingers per hand so the globe is gently resting on your fingers with the north pole pointing directly up. Starting 12 inches above the base, slowly lower it while aiming for the center. Stay firm but gentle—the magnetic base will strongly “grab” the globe as you near. It’s important that the north pole remains pointing directly up and for the globe to be centered on the base for levitation to begin. During levitation attempts, it may drop abruptly but won’t damage the globe or base initially. However, repeated drops may cause wear, not covered by warranty. Finding the “sweet spot” takes practice, but soon you’ll levitate it in one try!
What materials is it made from?
The globe is made from high-quality PS (polystyrene), and the base is made from durable ABS plastic—built to last.
What’s included in the box?
Each Float Globe includes: 1x Earth Float Globe, 1x Float Globe Levitation Base, 1x Power Adapter, and 1x Logo Light with Remote Control (must purchase separately as an “add-on”).
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, all Float Globes come with a 1-year warranty. You can also purchase an optional 2-year extended warranty.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We are currently setup to ship to the U.S. and Canada, but if demand grows we may begin shipping to other countries, as well.
